Have Late Flight out out of Bali? Here's a list of ideas of what to do after check out.

LATE FLIGHT OUT OF BALI?

It’s your last day of your holiday, you need to check out of your accommodation at 11 in the morning and your flight doesn’t depart until at 10pm! What to do?

Here are our top 5 ideas on how to make sure you have a wonderful final day on holiday!

1. BOOK AN EXTRA NIGHT STAY!

We think this is the very best option to ensure your final day is a relaxing one. Keeping your room for the day gives you the freedom laze the day away in comfort - relax poolside, head out for a final beach session, go for a surf, yoga, massage or grab some lunch at one of the amazing cafes in the area. Then come back to your air conditioned room for a siesta, have a final Bintang or wine poolside then shower so you’re fresh, relaxed and rested ready for your flight.

Many hotels/accommodations offer a discounted rates when you extend your stay. We certainly do! So pre-book your final day today!

Sidenote - booking an extra night stay may seem excessive or expensive, but hotel day passes or moving place to place in a taxi adds up and can often be more expensive than booking an extra night!

2. ON A BUDGET? CHECK INTO A CHEAP HOTEL/HOMESTAY

There are many affordable homestays in Bingin ranging from IDR 250,000 - 600,000 IDR per night.  We love “Pondok Indah” (also known as Lynnies) or Abian Sari. Most homestays in the area will have a pool, hot water and air conditioned rooms. If you prefer to be closer to the airport try The Hilton Garden Bali Airport, The Novotel Airport or the Harris Hotel or search hotels in “Tuban” / “Denpasar Airport”.  Just be aware that this area isn’t the most exciting! If you plan on shopping you will still need a taxi or scooter to get around.

3. LAZE THE DAY AWAY POOLSIDE WITH A HOTEL DAY PASS

There are many hotels and resorts which offer “day passes”. This allows you to use their facilities - pools, beaches, restaurants, spas, showers etc. Some have packages set up. Just note as they are big hotels, there is usually a 21% tax and service added to your bill. Here are a few we recommend:

4. HEAD TO ONE OF ULUWATUS FAMOUS PRIVATE BEACH CLUBS:

Karma Kandara (L) or Sundays Beach Club (R) are located on the southern tip of the Bukit peninsula. These private beaches are a 20 minute scooter/taxi from Melali. Both have beautiful white sandy beaches, great restaurants, ocean activities and great tasting cocktails.

They are similar, Sundays is a little bigger. To access both beaches you take an inclinator (cable car) down the cliffs. Then walk the final 150 steps to the beach. Both open from 9am. In order to get a great spot and not miss out, it is best to arrive early (by 10am) - especially in high season (May - August) and weekends.
